Upon examination, the ministry of commerce thinks the application contains the anti-dumping regulation of the People's Republic of China against anti-dumping investigation article 14, article 15 of the regulations required by the content and relevant evidence.

      According to the results of the review, on the basis of the anti-dumping regulation of the law of the People's Republic of China on the provisions of article 16 of the ministry of commerce decided since June 23, 2017 to native to South Korea, Taiwan and the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation against imports of styrene. Main use: styrene is a kind of important basic organic chemical raw materials, mainly for the production of polystyrene (EPS), polystyrene (PS), acrylonitrile - butadiene - styrene (ABS) resin, unsaturated polyester resin (UPR), thermoplastic elastomer (SBS), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), styrene butadiene rubber latex (SBL), etc. Styrene can also be used in the synthesis of anthraquinone, pesticide emulsifier, pharmaceutical and mineral beneficiation agent styrene and so on. At the same time, styrene is also an excellent organic solvent.
The product is in the import and export duty of the People's Republic of China: 29025,000.

     3. Register for the survey
Any interested party may, within 20 days from the date of publication of this announcement, register with the trade relief bureau of the ministry of commerce to participate in the anti-dumping investigation. Attend the survey of the interested party should according to "registered survey format of reference" to provide basic identity information, exports to China, or import quantity and amount for this case by the product, production and sales of similar products and associated conditions such as quantity and amount for that material. The interested parties referred to in this notice refer to individuals and organizations specified in article 19 of the anti-dumping regulations of China.

     4.Check public information

     6. Survey method

All companies should submit complete and accurate answers within the stipulated time. The answer sheet should include all the information requested by the questionnaire.

     7. Submission and handling of confidential information
If the information submitted by the interested party to the ministry of commerce is confidential, it may request and explain the reasons for the confidential processing of the relevant information to the ministry of commerce. If the mofcom agrees to its request, the interested party applying for confidentiality shall provide a non-confidential summary of the confidential information at the same time. A non-confidential outline should contain sufficient and meaningful information to enable other interested parties to have a reasonable understanding of confidential information. If a non-confidential outline cannot be provided, the reason should be stated. If the information submitted by the interested party does not indicate that the information is confidential, the mofcom shall view the information as public information.
The consequences of not cooperating
According to the provisions of article 21 of the anti-dumping regulations of the People's Republic of China, the interested parties shall truthfully reflect the situation and provide relevant information when conducting the investigation. Interested parties not truthfully report the situation to them and provide relevant materials, or not to provide the necessary information within a reasonable period of time, or in other ways severely hinder investigation, mofcom may, in accordance with have facts and can obtain the best information for ruling.

     8. Period of investigation
The survey, which starts on June 23, 2017, is usually due to end before 23 June 2018, with special conditions being extended until December 23, 2018.
