Product Uses
DMTDA is a new type of polyurethane elastomer curing crosslinking agent, equivalent to Ethancure-300. Mainly includes two kinds of isomers, 2,4-isomer and 2,6-isomer ( The ratio is about 77~80% / 17~20%), compared with MOCA, it is low viscosity liquid under normal temperature, can be used in low temperature. DMTDA is a low toxicity and environmental protection type liquid diamine chain extender, mainly used for polyurethane elastomer, RIM (reaction injection molding), SPUA (spray polyureaelastomer) and the adhesives. At the same time, it may be used as curing agent for epoxy resin, it has been widely used in polyurethane rollers, medical science, stamping and so on. In addition, it has a wide range of applications in the automobile, construction, mining, metal mining, textile, papermaking, printing. The curing speed of DMTDA is much slower than that of DETDA, which can be mixed with DETDA in different proportions, to adjust the curing speed to meet different requirements.

Brief Introduction: 

DMTDA is a new type of polyurethane elastomer curing crosslinking agent, equivalent to Ethancure-300. Mainly includes two kinds of isomers, 2,4-isomer and 2,6-isomer (The ratio is about 77~80% / 17~20%).

Compared with MOCA, DMTDA is low viscosity liquid under normal temperature, can be used in low temperature.

The curing speed of DMTDA is much slower than that of DETDA, which can be mixed with DETDA in different proportions, to adjust the curing speed to meet different requirements.

Processing:

HARTCURE 30, being a liquid at room temperature results in significant processing

advantages, for example,in such operation as transfer, melting down of solids is eliminated. Also, the possibility of freezing-up is no longer a concern during mixing or in meter mixing machines. Additionally, its liquid state permits processing prepolymer at lower temperatures than that of MOCA.

HARTCURE 30 has an equivalent weight of 107 compared to 133.5 for MOCA. This

means that about 20% less by weight is required for a given prepolymer at the same stoichiometry.

Physical properties of prepolymer cured with HARTCURE 30(DMTDA) curative

The specific gravity of HARTCURE 30(DMTDA) is about 1.20g/cc at recommended use temperatures of 70-90℉(21-33℃), whereas the specific gravity of molten MOCA at its use temperature of 240℉(116℃) is 1.26. This means that weight delivery by volumetric pumps is comparable for thetwo materials and therefore if no alterations for meter-mixing machines, we must change the formula weight of MOCA into that of HARTCURE 30.
