anionic polyacrylamide pam applied in sewage treatment

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear organic polymer and a polymer water-treated flocculant product that adsorbs suspended particles in water and acts as a link between the particles to make fine particles. A relatively large floc is formed and the rate of precipitation is accelerated. This process is called flocculation because of its good flocculation effect. PAM is used as a flocculant for water treatment and is widely used in sewage treatment.

Polyacrylamide is an important water-soluble polymer and has valuable properties such as flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, resistance reduction, and dispersibility. These properties are different depending on the derivative ion. Therefore, it is widely used in oil recovery, mineral processing, coal washing, metallurgy, chemical, paper, textile, sugar, medicine, environmental protection, building materials, agricultural production and other departments.
