97% Purity Sodium Metabisulphite Na2S2O5 Used for Leather Processing
Characters:
1. Appearance: White or yellowish crystalline powder.
2. Relative density : 1.4.
3. Solubility: Soluble in water (20 ℃ for 54 g / 100 ml of water, 100 ℃ for 81.7 g / 100 ml of water), glycerin, and slightly soluble in alcohol.
4. acidic aqueous solution,
5. easy to decompose when affected by damp,
6. easy to oxidize into sodium sulfate when exposed to air;
7. its contact with strong acid will release sulfur dioxide and generate the corresponding salts;
8. decompose when heated to 150 ℃.

Leather | 1. leather processing- making leather soft, plump and tough, with the water proof, 2. as leather processing chemical during the deliming process and helps to prevent formation of toxic hydrogen sulphide gas during deliming. |
Water treatment | 1. assists in the dechlorination of drinking water as well as in the chlorine removal in waste waters 2. effluent treatment chemicals- used as an oxygen scavenger to eliminate the dissolved oxygen in waste water and in pipes. |
