Aluminum sulfate is a widely used industrial reagent, which is usually confused with alum. Aluminum sulfate
is often used as a flocculant for purifying drinking water and sewage treatment equipment,
as well as in the paper industry. Under natural conditions, aluminum sulfate does not exist in
the form of anhydrous salt almost. It will form a series of hydrates, of which sixteen aluminum sulfate
is the most common.
Advantage
It is widely used to enhance the water resistance and impermeability of paper. It can make fine particles and natural colloidal particles in water condense into large flocs after being dissolved in water, so as to remove impurities from water.
