Polyacrylamide is a white powder or small particle substance.Chinese alias: flocculant, English name;PAM (acrylamide)

PAM is a kind of linear polymer, the products are mainly divided into dry powder and colloidal form.According to its average molecular weight, it can be divided into three types: low molecular weight (<1 medium="" molecular="" weight="" 2-4="" and="" high="">.7 million).According to its structure, it can be divided into four types: non-ionic type, anionic type, cation type and amphoteric type.

Application field of polyacrylamide:

Used for domestic sewage, purification of industrial water, industrial waste water, backwater injection in mines and oilfields, purification of papermaking, metallurgy, coal washing, leather and various chemical waste water treatment.

Method of use of polyacrylamide:

2. Before use, PAM should prepare 0.1%-0.5% concentration of water solution, which is suitable for using neutral water without salt.

3. Due to the wide range of water PH values applicable to this product, the general dosage is 0.1-10ppm (0.1-10mg/L).

4. Sufficient dissolution.This product should be paid attention to when dissolving, especially the automatic dosing device should not flow too fast to prevent PAM agglomeration, fish-eye phenomenon and unnecessary troubles caused by pipe clogging.

5, the mixing speed is 200 RPM commonly advisable, time not less than one hour, raise the temperature of 20-30 ℃, can accelerate the dissolve.The highest temperature liquid should be less than 60 ℃.

Matters needing attention of polyacrylamide:

1.PAM should be stored in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture and exposure to the sun.

 2. The working area should be washed with water frequently and kept clean.Due to its high viscosity, PAM scattered in the ground is smooth in the face of water, preventing operators from sliding and causing safety accidents.

Product features of polyacrylamide:

1. Flocculation: PAM can make suspended substances through electric neutralization, bridge adsorption, and flocculation.

2. Adhesion: it can play a role of adhesion through mechanical, physical and chemical actions.

3. Resistance reduction: PAM can effectively reduce the friction resistance of the fluid, and adding a small amount of PAM in water can reduce the resistance by 50-80%.

4. Thickening agent: PAM has thickening effect under neutral and acidic conditions, and PAM is easy to hydrolyze when PH value is over 10.When the structure is semi-reticular, the thickening will be more obvious.
